- Mr. Baskin began his pre-professional career as an overnight camp counselor for six years including several years at a camp for physically handicapped children and adults and a summer with emotionally disturbed acting out boys.
- He has been an instructor at the Eastern Cooperative Recreation School(ECRS) in Creative Drama, Small Scenes(theatre), Facilitating Groups and Leadership training courses
- He is also involved with Temple Emanuel in Lowell MA where he is a member of the Ritual Committee and chair of the Social Action Committee.
