Students received feedback on resumes, help with LinkedIn profiles, headshots, and more.

Cambridge College - Lawrence partnered with North Essex Community College and Suffolk University - North Campus Boston to host a career-networking night that took place on Tuesday, April 11th at The Riverwalk. This was the first career-networking event for Cambridge College Lawrence since their move to The Riverwalk. A total of 17 students attended and food was provided by El Taller Restaurant located in Lawrence.

“This is the first Career event LRC ever hosted, along with having a collaboration with the colleges (NECC and Suffolk) at The Riverwalk Campus,” said Melissa Sue Frasca, Lawrence Regional Site Director. “It was a great turn-out. We are looking forward to having another one next year where we will incorporate local business to talk more about the career paths matching up to our degrees.”

During the event, students had the opportunity to meet with different college representatives who provided feedback, reviewed their professional resumes, and assisted them with their LinkedIn profiles. Professional headshots were also available for students who were in need of a LinkedIn photo. Students also listened to a panel discussion from each college that spoke about the suggested career paths and programs they offer.

Cambridge College Lawrence moved to The Riverwalk in October 2016. The new campus is centered in the dynamic and emerging Riverwalk neighborhood where the campus features flexible classrooms, state-of-the-art technology, thoughtfully considered student centered amenities, and ample free parking.
