Fully online programs enable U.S. Air Force personnel to earn their Associate and Bachelor's Degrees at Cambridge College.

Cambridge College, a designated Military Friendly school, recently partnered with the U.S. Air Force to provide active, guard, and reserve enlisted personnel with the opportunity to complete and further their education with Cambridge College.  The two fully online programs, the General Education Mobile (GEM) Program and the Air University Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC) Program provide a pipeline opportunity to further the education of U.S. Air Force enlisted personnel online.

“We are delighted to partner with the CCAF in support of these expanded educational opportunities for our military service people. We stand ready to support these students as they engage in completing their associate or bachelor's degree programs through CC Global and help them meet their personal and professional advancement goals,” stated Dr. Michael Marrapodi, Dean, Cambridge College Global.

With over 300,000 active, guard, and reserve enlisted personnel, the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) is the world’s largest community college system. The CCAF’s GEM program provides active duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve enlisted personnel with the opportunity to complete their General Education requirements at Cambridge College, thus allowing for faster completion of the CCAF Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. Cambridge College’s online courses are offered in 8-week sessions throughout the year whereby enlisted personnel can complete up to 15 semester hours in General Education with the college.

Upon completion of the AAS degree and graduation from CCAF, graduates can enroll and obtain their baccalaureate degree at Cambridge College through the Air University Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC) agreement which offers an online bachelor’s degree through Cambridge College Global.  Currently, the AU-ABC-approved online programs are offered in the areas of: Social Entrepreneurship Management, Quality Systems and Improvement Management, Multidisciplinary Studies, Healthcare Management, and Business Administration.

Cambridge College expects to add five more fully online programs as part of the AU-ABC program.

Dr. Hank Dasinger, Dean at the Community College of the Air Force, shared that “the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) is pleased to count Cambridge College Global as an AU-ABC GEM partner.  CCG’s capability to deliver fully online, anytime-anywhere, educational programs fits perfectly with the intent of these two new programs in meeting the needs of a highly-mobile military population.   AU-ABC and GEM educational partnerships aid significantly in advancing the force development needs of the professional enlisted force CCAF serves.”

In the AU-ABC Program, Cambridge College allows CCAF graduates to earn an approved bachelor’s degree with the guarantee that no more than 60 semester hours of additional credit will be required to complete their degree.  The GEM Partnership adds to Cambridge College’s educational programs and services for military students along with the college’s active participation in the Yellow Ribbon program, MyCAA program for military spouses, Military Civilian Programs, and the Military Experience Credit Use (ACE).
