Bob Duquette (MEd '95) named MSSADA District D AD of Year

Sacred Heart School, a private Catholic co-educational school in Kingston for students in pre - school to grade 12, has announced that Athletic Director Robert Duquette of Plymouth has been selected as recipient of the District D Athletic Director of the Year Award from the Massachusetts Secondary Schools Athletic Directors Association (MSSADA).

The award is presented each year to an athletic administrator from each of the Association's eight athletic districts who has displayed outstanding leadership and meritorious achievement in interscholastic administration at the local, district and state levels.

Duquette received his undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education from Bridgewater State College and a Master's in Education from Cambridge College. He started his career at Sacred Heart 38 years ago as a grade 7-12 Physical Education teacher. Two years later he was named Director of Health and Physical Education in addition to Athletic Director.

Duquette has coached nine different sports during his tenure at Sacred Heart School. He has served as Chair of the Mayflower Athletic Conference four times and presently sits on the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association's state board, representing District D in both golf and swimming.

Duquette will be presented with the Athletic Director of the Year award at the MSSADA Annual Awards Banquet on March 29 at the Resort and Conference Center in Hyannis.
